Okay, okay, I know it's a little late, but you know what they say... better late than never, right?
Emmy passed the one month mark on May 20th (yay!). Here's a little bit of what she's up to these days:
She is growing like a weed these days, in size and personality. She is gaining weight like a champ (we don't have an official weight, but she's over 10 pounds!). It seems like she's growing up so fast that I don't have time to appreciate how little she is.
She loves to voice her opinion and likes to let us know if something isn't to her satisfaction. She likes to be pampered to most hours of the day. ;)
She likes her bouncy seat and her swing, but only when we can convince her that it was her idea to sit in them... She has figured out how to kick the toys on her bouncy seat to turn the music on, but I'm not sure that she knows that she's the one doing it yet.
She likes to watch her big sister, but is a little scared when Bella gets too close.

She can hold her head up with the best of them and likes to show off this talent and much as possible.
She LOVES music. If we're in the car and she's crying, most of the time I can turn on some music and Emmy with stop crying (especially if Bella and I are singing along).
She sleeps in her own bed at night (she's still getting used to sleeping in her bed during day time naps) and usually goes right back to sleep after waking up to eat. She usually wakes up two times during the night and one time early morning, but she'll usually go back to sleep after her morning feeding until 9 or later.
She loves to be snuggled up and likes to sleep wrapped up tight in her blanket. She also loves her big fluffy blanket, she likes to have it against her cheek.
She doesn't mind her car seat (in contrast to Bella who HATED being in it). It makes driving long distances (and around town) a whole lot easier.
She likes her pacifier most of the time, but when she's decided that she doesn't want it, she really doesn't want it.
She LOVES to take baths (also in contrast to Bella). If she's screaming and we can't figure out what to do I can put her in her little tub and she'll just hang out there until the water turns cold. A plus to this is that Bella also likes it when Emmy takes a bath and is highly entertained by it, so it keeps both of the girls occupied. ;)
Her eyes are still blue, but we're expecting them to change eventually, and whats left of her hair is light brown. She is losing her hair the same way that Bella did, in the front on the sides, so she has a little bit of a Donald Trump comb over right now. We put a head band on her today and it worked pretty well at hiding the bald spot (when it's combed over properly she's only "bald" on one side). :)
She was smiling a little while we were in Redding for my Grandma's 90th Birthday (May 21), but lately she's been breaking out the big grins. Here she is on June 3rd...

Overall she's been a pretty good baby (as long as we can figure out what she wants...)
