Cleaning out my phone...

I was cleaning off my phone memory card and decided I should share some of these videos with all of you. Feel free to watch all, some or none... there are quite a few of them...

Bella dancing to the music on her phone and then requesting to see it...

...still dancing...

Emmy talking...

Bella LOVES to video herself and send them to Papa to tell him what she's done on any given day... ;)

We got Bella a trampoline a few months ago. Our theory was that if we gave her something to jump on she wouldn't jump on the furniture and that she would have less energy to RUN down our hallway. So far, it's worked wonders!

Bella LOVES to play in the tub... some times a little longer than she probably should...

Bella likes to have her picture taken, the only catch is that she wants to see the pictures right after they are taken.

THE AUDIO ON THESE LAST TWO IS A LITTLE CRAZY: WATCH OUT!
For the past few months Bella and I have been going to a Music and Movement class at our local YMCA. She loves it.

This is her favorite song: the Animal Action song. Here she is being a bunny (plus she loves dancing in between the animal actions).

We have a DOCTOR in the family...

As many of you may know, Dusty FINALLY graduated from Oregon State University Pharmacy School yesterday. It has been a long time coming and a lot of hard work, but he got through it and will soon be seeing the fruits of his labors (and the rest of us will too!)... Here are some highlights from the main event:

The Dean of the College of Pharmacy speaking to the graduates.
Getting his pin.
Having his hood put on.
Receiving his diploma.
He's got it!
After all the graduates had received their diplomas, they all read the Oath of a Pharmacist.

Dusty HAD to have his picture taken in front of this building. He thinks the arch looks "so academic"

what we've been up to...

Emmy's First Easter!
Bella and Emmy "playing" in Emmy's rainforest.
Checking out the fish with Grandma at Turtle Bay.
... following the fish...
"Whoa, Lily check that one out!"
Hiding in the fish window
"Oh no! It's got me!"
Riding the pony with Lily and Abby.
Just a couple of girls playing a game of chess.
Lily's behind the wheel... look out!
"Alright everyone, check out your turtle!"
Mush Grandma, Mush!
Cruising around the front yard at Grandma and Papa's.
Showing Mommy all the things she can do in the outfit Grandma made for her.
She can jump...
...and pose...
... and give Emmy loves...
... and even hold Emmy...
At Grandma Horrocks' 90th birthday party. 4 generations...
Bella turns 3!
"Wow, look at this..."
Emmy "talking" (or yelling) to Mommy.
At the park riding the motorcycle.
This is the face Emmy makes when Bella gets a little too close... YIKES!
Trying to catch a smile on camera... it wasn't going to happen...
Our family "hiking" up Roxanne Peak just outside of Medford.
Also, Emmy's first hike!
Just the girls... Emmy's in there somewhere...
Bella rockin' the Minnie glasses. She loves picking wildflowers.

One Month!

Okay, okay, I know it's a little late, but you know what they say... better late than never, right?
Emmy passed the one month mark on May 20th (yay!). Here's a little bit of what she's up to these days:

She is growing like a weed these days, in size and personality. She is gaining weight like a champ (we don't have an official weight, but she's over 10 pounds!). It seems like she's growing up so fast that I don't have time to appreciate how little she is.

She loves to voice her opinion and likes to let us know if something isn't to her satisfaction. She likes to be pampered to most hours of the day. ;)

She likes her bouncy seat and her swing, but only when we can convince her that it was her idea to sit in them... She has figured out how to kick the toys on her bouncy seat to turn the music on, but I'm not sure that she knows that she's the one doing it yet.

She likes to watch her big sister, but is a little scared when Bella gets too close.

She can hold her head up with the best of them and likes to show off this talent and much as possible.

She LOVES music. If we're in the car and she's crying, most of the time I can turn on some music and Emmy with stop crying (especially if Bella and I are singing along).

She sleeps in her own bed at night (she's still getting used to sleeping in her bed during day time naps) and usually goes right back to sleep after waking up to eat. She usually wakes up two times during the night and one time early morning, but she'll usually go back to sleep after her morning feeding until 9 or later.

She loves to be snuggled up and likes to sleep wrapped up tight in her blanket. She also loves her big fluffy blanket, she likes to have it against her cheek.

She doesn't mind her car seat (in contrast to Bella who HATED being in it). It makes driving long distances (and around town) a whole lot easier.

She likes her pacifier most of the time, but when she's decided that she doesn't want it, she really doesn't want it.

She LOVES to take baths (also in contrast to Bella). If she's screaming and we can't figure out what to do I can put her in her little tub and she'll just hang out there until the water turns cold. A plus to this is that Bella also likes it when Emmy takes a bath and is highly entertained by it, so it keeps both of the girls occupied. ;)

Her eyes are still blue, but we're expecting them to change eventually, and whats left of her hair is light brown. She is losing her hair the same way that Bella did, in the front on the sides, so she has a little bit of a Donald Trump comb over right now. We put a head band on her today and it worked pretty well at hiding the bald spot (when it's combed over properly she's only "bald" on one side). :)

She was smiling a little while we were in Redding for my Grandma's 90th Birthday (May 21), but lately she's been breaking out the big grins. Here she is on June 3rd...

Overall she's been a pretty good baby (as long as we can figure out what she wants...)

Just Pictures...

These are the PJ's that Bella picked out for Emmy.
Holding Emmy.
Snuggled in her swing. This is my favorite outfit.
Helping feed Emmy.
"Would you like one?" Grandma helped Bella make some Easter cookies.
Emmy in the Easter dress Grandma made for her... she was ready to eat and not excited about taking pictures.
Bella in her Easter dress... though not quite as put together as I would like...
Decorating cupcakes with Grandma.
Finding eggs at our Easter egg hunt at Stacee's house. Thank goodness they let us come over since we don't have a yard it makes hunting eggs a little difficult.
We told her to look up high...
Ahh... she found it.
Uncle Turner was helping her find an egg... usually she's a little nervous around him... but since he was helping her find an egg it was okay.

Having an Easter egg hunt when you don't have a yard is a little difficult. But the Easter Bunny managed to make a visit while Bella was taking a tubby on Easter morning. I love at the end of the video when Bella goes to pick up her basket she says, "Wow!" :)
