9 Months!

Here we are at another milestone. I know I say this every month, but I truly cannot believe that Bella is 9 months old. And though I have loved every minute of having her in our family, she is getting more and more fun. She loves to play with us (well ,really, she loves to play with anyone who will play with her). She is such a happy baby, most of the time. She loves to laugh, to be scared (by saying Boo!) and to be tickled. It just cracks me up. More and more everyday I see her personality forming. And though she's so much fun, I can tell she's going to be a little booger. Her new favorite thing to do is get into something she's not supposed to (whether she knows she's not supposed to is up for debate) and then when I tell her 'no' she turns around and laughs at me. And when she goes into the kitchen she always stops and gives me a little look before going around the corner. It's like she's saying 'Look where I'm going, Mom, you better come and get me.' If it wasn't so funny it'd be annoying. A couple of days ago I stopped going to get her from the kitchen and now she just goes in there, checks it out for a minute or two, grabs the towel off the oven and puts it on the ground and then comes back to the living room. I think it's lost all it's fun for her now that I don't chase her down.
She's progressed by leaps and bounds again this month, it's amazing how she keeps doing that. ;) She's officially mastered crawling. I was a little worried about this, but so far it's been okay. She doesn't get into too many things. She loves to pull herself up on things. This is something new for her, she just started doing it about a week and a half ago. Since this is new to her, she's fallen quite a bit. Some times once she's standing up she can't figure out how to get back down. It's interesting to watch her think it through. Most of the time she just falls back onto her bum, but every once in a while she topples all the way over and lands on her face. Anytime she does this she gives us this look like she wants to know why we did that to her. Luckily it's pretty easy to calm her down. Bella is now talking up a storm as well. Of course she doesn't say any real words yet (or at least none that we can understand), but she likes talking none the less. Some times she likes to see how loud she can be and really likes it when her voice echos.
One thing about her that we find so funny is that she loves to watch TV. I know this is bad for her and she doesn't really watch it, but every now and then something catches her attention. Usually it's sports, she really loves football and basketball, but she loves the intro song for the Gilmore Girls. It's pretty funny. Nearly every time that song comes on she stops what she's doing and watches it. And once it's over she goes back to doing whatever she was doing.
Here's Bella this afternoon when she woke up from her nap. She doesn't cry when she wakes from her naps, she just sits in there are talks to herself and progressively gets louder and louder until we hear her and come and get her. This standing-by-the-rail thing is new. She thinks she's so clever for having figured out how to do thing (and what can I say, I think she's pretty clever too).

We'll get some official stats tomorrow at her doctors appointment and then we'll let you all know.
