Baby Lambs at OSU

Every year OSU opens up their sheep facility to let visitors come and see all the new baby lambs. We went there last week to see what it was all about. We went with our friends Katrina, Lizzy and Sara. The kids thought it was neat, but quickly got tired of it. The two little girls, Lizzy and Sara were a little scared of the larger sheep and all the noise they made. Bella and I got to see one of the sheep give birth. It was pretty crazy. There were two lambs, but the first one had it's leg twisted back so the mother had to have some help. It took longer than normal to get the baby out and all of us there were a little nervous that they wouldn't make it. Watching this birth hit a little too close to home so I'm glad that in the end it all worked out alright.
Here's Bella and I checking out the baby lambs. I seriously did not plan to have us match this well, some of you may find that hard to believe, but it's true.
Here are our friends petting a baby lamb.
So many baby lambs!
I won't show pictures of the actual birth (I have those too), but here's Mommy with her two new babies.

Well, in true Orchard Court style two of those sheep will probably be your neighbors in a week or so. :)
